"Coming from Frias Vineyard and aged 19 months in 54% new French oak, the 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserva shows more black fruits, spicy oak, and graphite, with some dark chocolate and obvious minerality. It's medium to full-bodied, ripe, concentrated and beautifully textured, with building tannins and a great finish. There are roughly 245 cases produced, and it will benefit from 2-4 years of bottle age and drink over the following two decades. Drink 2027-2047."

Intense blackberry and mulberry with cigar box and cedar tie together on the nose of the 2023 RESERVA. Dark cocoa and minerality play together with round full tannins and tangy acid support that give a long finish, showing the lustiness of youth but portending a long future.
The grapes for this wine were hand selected in the vineyard when they were harvested from two small sections at optimum ripeness on October 25 and November 3 and then hand sorted twice in the winery to make sure only the best reached the fermentation tanks. Once in the tanks, the grapes sat cold a few days developing color, flavor and aroma before starting to ferment. The tanks were gently punched down and pumped over for 18 to 20 days to extract all the color, aroma and flavor from the grapes carefully, then the juice was drained and skins pressed before being filled into barrels. The wine finished a native malolactic fermentation in the barrels in about two months and was aged for 20 months in small French oak barrels (54% new) and bottled in June 2025.
